Finding Points of Interest
You can use the Points of Interest tool to populate an area you are viewing with points of interest, such as schools, banks, transportation, and restaurants. You can select items from the following list:
As you select items, icons for the points of interest appear on the Map. The following screen shot shows educational institutions showing on the Map:
Taking a Closer Look
Click a point of interest to view specifics – the name of a school, for example, shown above.
TIP: You may want to use the Map drawing tools to enhance the points of interest you’ve found on the Map. You could find condos within a 1/2 mile radius of a train station or all single family residences within a two mile radius of a particular school. To do this, draw a shape around the point of interest and perform a “shape search” on the search grid. Refer to Working with Drawing Tools for details.
